Staircase Manufacturing & Installation By Coffs Stairs and Balustrade

By engaging our services, the Client agrees to the following terms:

1. Scope of Work

1.1 The Company shall manufacture and/or install staircases in accordance with the agreed specifications, drawings, and quotation provided to the Client.

1.2 Unless otherwise specified in writing, the Company’s quotation and scope of works exclude the following:

Any finishing, staining, sealing, painting, or coating of the staircase components.

Any other work not explicitly listed in the written quotation.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 A deposit, as specified in the quotation, is payable prior to commencement of works.

2.2 The balance of the contract price is due and payable within fourteen (14) days of practical completion of the works.

2.3 Interest may be charged on overdue amounts at the rate of 2% per month, calculated daily until payment is received in full.

2.4 The Company reserves the right to suspend works or withhold delivery if payments are not made in accordance with these terms.

2.5 All payment claims are made under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW), or the equivalent legislation applicable in the State or Territory where the work is performed.

3. Installation Conditions

3.1 The Company will take all reasonable care during installation to avoid damage to the Client’s property, including walls, floors, and ceilings.

3.2 The Company will not be held liable for any damage caused to walls or other property where such damage arises due to:

Poor workmanship or defects by other trades.

Pre-existing conditions or structural weaknesses in the building.

3.3 The Client must ensure that the installation area is clear, accessible, and free from obstructions prior to the agreed installation date.

4. Warranties

4.1 The Company warrants that all manufactured components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion.

4.2 This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.

Natural variations in timber grain, colour, or texture.

Finishes applied by others.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product or the re-supply of the service.

5.2 The Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage.

6. Governing Law

6.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State or Territory in which the work is performed.

6.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State or Territory.

7. Social Media & Media Use

7.1 As part of our services, Coffs Stairs and Balustrade may photograph and film completed projects for use on our website, social media platforms, and YouTube channel “That Aussie Stair Guy”. This content may be used for both promotional and educational purposes and forms part of our business revenue.

7.2 Clients acknowledge that such content is the property of Coffs Stairs and Balustrade (and other business undertakings using the same ABN) and agree that no compensation, royalties, or profit-sharing will be owed for its use. 8. Acceptance

By signing a quotation or otherwise instructing the Company to proceed with works, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
